Singapore bunker prices fall across all main grades over the weekend
What it means for buyers
Buyers with Singapore calls this week may find a better entry point than last week, especially for gasoil.
Bunker prices in Singapore came down across the board over the weekend, according to ENGINE. The comparison runs from Friday to midday Singapore time on Monday 2 November.
LSMGO had the steepest drop of the four grades tracked and is now at its lowest point in a month. HSFO slipped to a multi-week low. VLSFO is at a one-week low, and the B30 biofuel blend of VLSFO is at its lowest in more than a week.
For buyers, the move matters most on gasoil. Ships taking LSMGO for ECA legs or auxiliary use may see a noticeably better level than late last week. On residual grades the dip is smaller, so it is more of a short pause than a clear change in direction.
Prices in Singapore have moved sharply in both directions in recent weeks and can turn again quickly. Buyers with stems due in the next week or two may want to lock in timing and grade early rather than wait for a further fall.
