Zhoushan lead times ease slightly but supplier stocks stay low
What it means for buyers
Plan Zhoushan stems at least 11 days ahead; Hong Kong needs about a week's notice for the main grades.
Bunker supply in Zhoushan is still tight, according to the Engine East of Suez update on 12 October. Several suppliers in the port say their stocks are low because imports have been weak, even though demand is muted.
Lead times have come down a little. VLSFO and LSMGO now need about 11 days of notice, one day less than last week. HSFO eased more, to about 11 days from roughly 15.
Prices moved up. Zhoushan VLSFO posted the biggest daily gain among the three main Asian hubs and now sits above Singapore but below Fujairah. Zhoushan HSFO is averaging its highest monthly level since November 2021.
In Hong Kong the market is largely flat, and suppliers still advise around seven days for the main grades. For buyers, this means Zhoushan stems should be fixed well ahead, and Hong Kong can be a quicker option nearby if the routing works.

Roadstead is a bunker broker. We arrange supply through suppliers we have checked and do not run our own barges.
