Singapore VLSFO lead times ease slightly as Fujairah stays tight

  • LSMGO

What it means for buyers

Allow roughly two weeks for Singapore residual stems, and treat Fujairah as enquiry-only until early October replenishment.

Singapore residual fuel remains hard to book at short notice. VLSFO advice now sits near 10-15 days, a touch shorter than the prior week's 13-17 day window. Most suppliers are still holding low stocks, and Middle East-linked cargo delays continue to squeeze availability. HSFO advice has moved the other way, stretching toward 10-15 days after sitting nearer 9-12 days. LSMGO is comparatively easier at about five days.

Fujairah stays under severe constraint across the main grades as Hormuz disruption keeps fuel oil arrivals thin. Market talk points to possible replenishment cargoes early in October; nearby Khor Fakkan is similarly tight. Until those barrels land, buyers should treat both UAE hubs as enquiry-only and avoid assuming prompt stems.

The same East of Suez survey also flags longer waits in Zhoushan. VLSFO and HSFO there now need about 14 days. Port Suez inventories are described as critically low across conventional grades. For Singapore calls, lock residual stems early enough for a roughly two-week window, and keep LSMGO as the more flexible option if timing slips.
